Beach bound...
I sewed up an oilcloth beach bag this past week...I love how it turned out! Large, roomy enough to hold all kinds of goods & with 6 outside pockets for holding a cell phone, sunscreen, etc. Plus, it is made from durable oilcloth that can be hosed out when it needs a good cleaning! I think I'll have to make a few dozen more of these!
Who's gotta spit up?
Loving all the new fabric stores I'm discovering here in Colorado...I am like a kid in a candy shop each time I step into a new one....all the colors, all the patterns! Stripes! Prints! Polka dots! I find myself with arms full of beautiful bolts within minutes of arriving. What do I do with all this fabric goodness you may ask? Well...put it to good use right away!
I've been in baby mode lately (just finished up my fourth custom order crib set in the past 2 months....photos to come) & there's not one baby gift I enjoy making more than beautiful, functional burp cloths. I loath "babyish" prints & would much prefer to look at bright graphic prints! These burp cloths are super absorbent, mopping up any messes that come with sweet little babies. And they are beautiful, which always made me as a mom happy. A perfect unity of form & function :)
I sent these babies (& many more prints) to CA & they'll be available at Studio317 in downtown Visalia next week! They'll be available to purchase 3 for $22 & make a great gift for those expecting or with newborns!
By the way, I'm having a trunk show there next Thursday night, May 30. I'll be showcasing all new clips, fabric necklaces, burp cloths, ties for little boys, receiving blankets, & lush minky blankets with silky edges! Stay tuned for more info & more pics of the goodies I'm bringing!
