ruffle flower clips & headbands

Ok so I know you have probably seen these types of clips everywhere, BUT, I had never tried to make them myself & I thought they'd be fun for something different than yarn & ribbon. Plus, I had just scored a great stack of dress linings & satin at a local thrift store, so I had the supplies. They were super easy (just roughly cut out a bunch of circles in different sizes) but quite time consuming (hold the fabric over a flame & watch the edges melt each circle into what looks like a petal, then glue or sew the layers together). My problem was the melting part...while trying to watch my two kids, this mama got distracted & the melting tended to proceed into burning...

But anyway, I like the look of them, I made a ton up for Tatum & a bunch on newborn size headbands just in case this next babe is a girl. My favorite part of the whole thing was matchin up flowers with the elastic bands & doing a bit of hand beading or blinging to the centers...enjoy...

a bunch more necklaces...

A few more acrylic beaded necklaces were in the works this week...these are such a great little gift to have on hand & little girls just love them. They are strung on stretchy cord and made of acrylic, so they are durable & low maintenance...a perfect combo for accessories that are going to get used over & over again.

If you would like any of these, let me know soon, they tend to find homes quickly!
From $15-22 each.
